When you drive north of the volcano Hekla towards the area of Landmannalaugar you almost feel like being on the Moon. However I’m not completely sure, because I’ve not yet been to the Moon 😉

At the south coast
Some images from our trip along the south coast.
Standing behind Seljalandsfoss at sunset
This panoramic image was stitched from 5 images in landscape orientation. Taking the pictures was a challenging task, as it was a windy day and I had to clean my front lens several times before I had enough “clean shots” of the waterfall.

To Eldgjá canyon and back again
Some images from our trip to the Eldgjá canyon.
Panoramic image of Ófærufoss
This panorama was stitched from 5 images in portrait orientation. The projection is rectilinear. I used a neutral density filter with 10 f-stops to get an exposure time of 8 seconds.
Ófærufoss in Eldgjá Canyon
This panoram shows Ófærufoss in Eldgjá canyon which is not easy to reach. You better have a 4×4 at hand because it is far away from Iceland’s main road! It can only be reached by an F- road and then by foot.

Icebergs and waterfalls
Driving along the southcoast of Iceland.
Stranded Iceberg at Jökulsárlón
Jökulsárlón is a lagoon in Iceland and the place where the Breiðamerkurjökull ends. Small icebergs from the Vatnajökull can so reach the sea. However depending on the winds they sometimes strand on the beach like this one.
