This panorama shows Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum in Golden Point, a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. The museum depicts the early years after the discovery of gold in 1851.
Technique
The shooting was done with a 2.60 meter (appx. 8.5 ft) pole to reach a more elevated viewpoint. The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket. Stitched from seven images taken with a Walimex (Samyang) 7.5mm fish eye lens on a Sony QX1. Six images around and an additional image for the nadir. The zenith was retouched by hand in post-processing.
