This panoram shows Ófærufoss in Eldgjá canyon which is not easy to reach. You better have a 4×4 at hand because it is far away from Iceland’s main road! It can only be reached by an F- road and then by foot.

Stranded Iceberg at Jökulsárlón
Jökulsárlón is a lagoon in Iceland and the place where the Breiðamerkurjökull ends. Small icebergs from the Vatnajökull can so reach the sea. However depending on the winds they sometimes strand on the beach like this one.

View over Lagarfljót near Hengifoss
I shot this panorama on the way back from the beautiful Hengifoss to the parking lot. You can see Hengifoss in the distance near the top of the hilll and Lagarfljót stretching below for about 25km.

Standing inside Tröllið
One of the few rock formations in Hljóðaklettar that has it’s own name is Tröllið, which translates to “The Troll”. I took the panorama right inside the mouth of the troll, which in fact is a giant basalt formation.

Standing at Goðafoss
Goðafoss is one of the many waterfalls we visited on our journey around Iceland. It is more than 30 meters wide and the water drops about 12 meters down.

Hvítserkur – A Rock Formation in the Sea
This somehow weird looking rock formation is called Hvítserkur which translates to “white nightdress”. However to me this basalt rock definitely looks more black than white!
