Technique
The shooting was done with a 2.60 meter (appx. 8.5 ft) pole to reach a more elevated viewpoint. The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket. Stitched from five images taken with a Walimex (Samyang) 7.5mm fish eye lens on a Sony QX1. Four images around and an additional image for the nadir. The zenith was retouched by hand in post-processing.

Standing on the Gibson Steps

The Gibson Steps are leading down to Gibson Beach. When your driving on the Great Ocean Road from east to west, then this is the first location, where you can see one of the “Twelve Apostles”.

Rocks near Point Lonsdale Lighthouse

Near Point Lonsdale Lighthouse you have access to the beach via a short trail. You can find some iteresting rocks on the beach.

Sovereign Hill (open-air museum in Ballarat)

This panorama shows Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum in Golden Point, a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. The museum depicts the early years after the discovery of gold in 1851.

At the entry of Luna Park (Melbourne)

The panorama shows the entry of Melbourne’s Luna Park. The park features the oldest continually operating roller coaster which was opened in 1912.

Standing on Webb Bridge (Melbourne)

This image was taken on the Webb Bridge in Melbourne. It spans the Yarra River and the architect is Denton Corker Marshall in collaboration with artist Robert Owen.

Five images around to get rid of my own shadow (standing left and right of the pole while taking the image(s) which faced the opposite direction of the sun). The zenith and nadir was retouched by hand in post-processing.

State Library of Victoria (Melbourne) inside La Trobe Reading Room

This image was taken inside the iconic dome of the State Library of Victoria. The room was opened 1913 and was designed to provide room for over a million books and up to 600 readers.

I removed myself by hand in post-processing.

Central atrium of the Block Arcade

The Block Arcade is one of the tourst icons of the city of Melbourne. It was erected between 1891 and 1893. The panorama shows the central atrium of the arcade.
