This turf church is one of only six icelandic turf churches still standing. They are preserved as historical monuments. This church was built 1834 and has turf walls, but timber gables both back and front.

Skálholtdómkirkja is the icelandic term for ‘Cathedral of Skálholt’. It was errected between 1956 an 1963. It is located at Skálholt, a site which hosted a bishop 800 years.

The geysir Strokkur is located in the geothermal area of the Great Geysir in the valley of Haukadalur. It erupts every 5 to 10 minutes 15 to 20 meters high. Sometimes the eruption reaches 40 meters.

I recently bought the SEL55210 lens from Sony. This image shows one of my first panoramas I made with the lens. The original image dimensions are 27000×6084 pixel. I took 34 images in two rows @55 mm handheld.
